The Communications Team is seeking a part-time writer (20 hours/week) to assist with interviewing and creation of feature stories for the various publications utilized across the Iowa Conference. The part-time writer will collaborate with other members of the Communications Team, participate in weekly update meetings and assignments, follow-up on story leads, and create content that can be shared across the various communication platforms - web, social media, e-publications, and print. Qualified candidates must have the ability work with deadlines and short turn-around times, demonstrate the ability to create feature stories based on personal interviews, and the ability to post interviews on a content management system such as Word Press. The Communications Team is seeking a part-time website and social media coordinator (20 hours/week) to assist our missions and ministries through website development and furthering the communication reach through utilization of the Iowa Conference social media outlets. The part-time coordinator will collaborate with other members of the Communications Team, participate in weekly update meetings and assignments, and resource the various missions and ministries of the Iowa Conference. Qualified candidates must demonstrate proficiency in working with content management systems and platforms such as WorkPress and a range of 'plug-ins', demonstrate proficiency working with social media platforms and scheduling apps/programs such as Hootsuite, and demonstrate the capacity to create, find, and modify images for web and social media platforms. Experience with Photoshop, Canva, or other similar/related programs and apps is required.
