Position: Business Manager (Director of Administration)
Status: Full Time, 40 hours per week, including some evenings
Direct Supervisor: Lead Pastor
Qualifications:
• Strong Christian attitude
• Prior management experience (5+ years)
• Knowledgeable of general accounting principles
• Ability to work with a diverse number of people, including the congregation, other church staff, and volunteers
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organization skills
• Possess strong computer skills, including MS Office products, Internet, email, and computer networks
• Self directed and able to work independently as well as delegate to other staff members
• Capable of qualifying for bonding by the Iowa Annual Conference
Job Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for managing the day-to-day operations of the church, including but not limited to oversight of administration, financial tasks, building maintenance and custodial matters, and communications. The role of the Business Manager is to attend to the administration of the facility and the administration staff so that the Pastors may focus their efforts in ministry and supervising the ministry staff.
Our Director of Discipleship & Student Ministries will (alongside the leadership team) design and direct our spiritual formation ministry across all age groups. Discipleship & Student Ministries include what has traditionally been called Christian Education, Children's Ministry, and Youth Ministry; but places greater emphasis on living a life of discipleship than simply teaching Christian concepts.
The Director of Discipleship & Student Minsitries position is a full-time position but holds the possibility of negotiating the number of hours served each week as we build in flex time, due to ministry expectations.
