If our churches are going to survive, we will need to lead change in the way we bring Christ to our communities and the way we provide the finances to support our mission and ministry. Ken Sloane, Director of Stewardship & Connectional Ministry for the United Methodist Church will be with us to some practical ideas of how we might lead our churches from being focus on raising funds to a focus on raising generous disciples in a changing world.

He will touch on things like:

  • A year round strategy for stewardship education
  • Embracing giving through the connection as part of your local churches ministry
  • The power of missional storytelling
  • Words that motivate giving in this new day, and
  • How moving the focus away from buildings to mission can increase generosity
