
The 2012 North Central Jurisdictional Conference of The United Methodist Church will meet in Akron, Ohio from July 18-20. The once-every-four-years event will convene at the James S. Knight Center to learn the assignments of the United Methodist Bishops of the Jurisdiction, worship, receive the Episcopal Address, recognize the retirement of Bishop Linda Lee (Wisconsin Conference), and experience the Black Methodists for Church Renewal presentation.
Bishop Julius Calvin Trimble will be the preacher for the Opening Service of Worship on Wednesday afternoon, July 18, beginning at 2 pm.
Bishops Gregory Vaughn Palmer (Illinois Great Rivers Conference) and Bishop Bruce Ough (West Ohio Conference) will deliver the Episcopal Address.
