2012 Communications Matching Grant

8/6/2012

helping emerging communities make connections
a grant from Iowa Conference Communications

helping emerging communities make connections is a matching grant program of the Communications Ministry Team.  The goal is to support the outeach of “new places for new people” creating faith communities open to all.

helping emerging communities make connections will provide matching grants of $500 or $1000 in six categories: web ministry; software; publicity/advertising; print materials-brochures, flyers, handouts; and discipling resources.  An additional category – creative consultation support, will be a direct grant without the need for matching support.

A grant application form for helping emerging communities make connections includes a place to briefly describe the emerging faith community, the project for which support is being requested, and cost detail.  The grant application is ‘form-fillable”; save the completed document and email it to: communications@iaumc.org or print it and mail it to:

The helping emerging communities make connections grant application is due in to the Communications Ministry Team by September 17, 2012.  Notification of awards will be made by October 15, 2012.

Emerging communities that receive grants will provide the Communications Ministry Team with follow-up reports in early 2013.  Those success stories will help other emerging communities vision and dream.

We look forward to supporting the exciting ministry of helping emerging communities make connections!
