Women of Faith Conference

The Women of Faith conference will be in Des Moines at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium on March 12-13. Speakers are Patsy Clairmont, Marilyn Meberg, Sandi Patty, Anita Renfroe, Lisa Whelchel, and Andy Andrews. Drama is by Nicole Johnson. Music is by Mary Beth and Steven Curtis Chapman, Mandissa, and Sandi Patty. Each of them has an inspiring message to present, and you will be uplifted and strengthened in your faith. If you register through me, the cost is $79 for both days, including a box lunch each day. I have great seats reserved and am excited to have then filled. With 50 paid registrations, we are able to provide 25 free registrations to any woman who has been affected in any way by the flood. Come and bring a friend, sister, mother, daughter, neighbor or anyone who would make this a special event for you. The event is a nondenominational experience that will be unforgettable. The Men's Brown Mug Club of Clarence United Methodist Church will hold their 5th Annual Chili Cook-Off March 21, 2010 from 5-7 p.m. Men are asked to bring a pot of their best chili. A free-will offering will get you a spoon and you can taste as many chilies as you want, then vote for the one you like best. You are free to eat all you want. All proceeds go to Haitian Relief.
