2012 Annual Conference

                             


The 2012 session of the Iowa Annual Conference met from June 2-5, 2012. It was held at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines, including Hy-Vee Hall and the newly-renovated Community Choice/Veterans Memorial Auditorium. (Click here to see images of the meeting space).

In keeping with the 2012 General Conference theme, the theme of our Annual Conference was "Make Disciples of Jesus Christ to Transform the World."

Bishop Julius Calvin Trimble, Resident Bishop of the Iowa Area, preached at the Opening Worship Service. Preachers for other services included: Ordering of Ministry-Bishop Gregory Vaughan Palmer, Resident Bishop of the Illinois Great Rivers Area; Rev. Charles Smith-Retirement Service; and Rev. Anne Lippincott-Memorial Service.
