About Us

The Iowa Conference Center of The United Methodist Church opened in March 2005.  A project under construction for nearly 18 months – the groundbreaking ceremony was held October 4, 2003 – this location serves Iowa’s 790 congregations and is the “home” of the Conference’s nearly 160,000 members.

Please contact the Communications Team or call 515.974.8907 to arrange a tour for your group… or you're welcome to simply stop in and see your faith home and ministry center.  Arrangements for guided tours must be made a minimum of two weeks in advance; contact the Communications office to do so.  If you wish to meet the Bishop, you will need to make prior arrangements through the Episcopal office at 515.974.8902.

Tours takes approximately one hour and are offered during building hours, which are Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.  No tours are given during the week of Annual Conference in June or on holidays when the building is closed.
