- Rooms 304-305 - Social Media and Web Ministry: "Communicating Faith in the 21st Century" - Jenn Rodia
Communicating Faith in the 21st Century will teach how to effectively communicate in today’s society and to equip the faith community to share transforming stories. This workshop focuses on going beyond just having a church website to effectively implementing a broader online presence. We will cover the basics of launching a successful online strategy that helps people connect with your church in a new way. This workshop will also focus on implementing a broader online presence, using the social media tools. By engaging your audience online first, you extend your reach beyond Sunday services and expose your audience to your message before they visit your church.
- Rooms 314-315 - Change a Child's Story: Erin McGargill, Allison Engel
- Rooms 312-313 - Women at the Well: "And Who is My Neighbor" - Rev. Lee Schott
Breaking down walls with Women at the Well
Join representatives of Women at the Well, our sister congregation inside the prison, as we think about our neighbors inside prison walls as well as the hidden neighbors right next door. We'll think about the kinds of life experiences that lead some people to prison, and the ways we can make a difference by reaching out to make connections. We'll also learn about the reentry team ministry that offers support and encouragement to women (and men) returning from prison.
- Rooms 316-317 - Healthy Church Initiative: Jaye Johnson & Phil Carver
This workshop will provide an overview of Healthy Church Initiative, offer an opportunity to learn together about some of the key aspects, and give you an opportunity to ask questions about how this revitalization process can transform your congregation. We will also discuss plans for the next versions of Healthy Church Initiative soon to be launched.
- Rooms 318-319 - Spiritual Leadership, Inc.: Lay and Clergy Ministry Partnership: Greg Servant
Partnership in Ministry: Developing a greater partnership between the pastor and laity in ministry.
- Rooms 302-303 - Tips and Techniques for Increasing Financial Stewardship in your Congregation: Katherine Yarnell
Keeping the “Fun” in “Fun-draising” is 90% common sense and 10% counter-intuitive. We will look at how to avoid the common traps, share a list of recommended resources, and learn the foundations of successful financial stewardship.
