For CATs at a Pastoral Transition, you may choose to add these additional details:
- Churches in the Iowa Conference of The United Methodist Church do a CAT as often as possible at the point of a pastoral transition to help everyone have a clearer picture and get off to the best possible start in the next chapter of ministry.
- The insights from the CAT will be used in setting Mission Priorities and concrete goals that guide ministry in the first year of the new pastoral appointment. These goals will be set by the Staff Parish Relations Committee, pastor, and district superintendent within the first months of the appointment.
