Immanuel UMC, Des Moines and Hillis Elementary School partnered to Change A Child's Story. On May 26, 2016 each Hillis student received 5 new books of their own choosing. Made possible by a matching grant from Educational Development Corporation, Immanuel presented 2,368 books to the Hillis students. Dr. Art McClanahan talks with Renee Gelfond, Principal at Hillis, and Erin McGargill, Instructional Coach at Hillis and member of the Change A Child's Story task force.
