List of duties
- Receives phone call and “building visitors” on weekdays with grace and connecting each call or each visitor to appropriate persons and groups in the church.
- Safeguards confidentiality always.
- Builds monthly Newsletter.
- Produces weekly bulletin.
- Maintains the church calendar of ministries, events, and of building usage.
- Maintains records of membership.
- Assists the Pastor with administrative functions.
- Maintains church website and Facebook page.
- Processes incoming mail & sends out Newsletter & other mailings as necessary.
- Processes bills gets them ready for Treasurer
- Coordinates volunteers to support the work of the office.
- Uses the phone tree for announcements & prayer requests.
- Makes flyers and postcards for events.
- Weekly updating of the front sign.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years Administrative Experience preferred.
- HS diploma or GED preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft software to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher
- Experience with confidential information
Salary 17.50 an hour, with possible increase in six months after review
Hours 30 hours a week M-F 9 am to 3 pm flexible
PTO after 30 days
