Part Time Administrative Assistant Needed


List of duties
 

  • Receives phone call and “building visitors” on weekdays with grace and connecting each call or each visitor to appropriate persons and groups in the church.
  • Safeguards confidentiality always.
  • Builds monthly Newsletter.
  • Produces weekly bulletin.
  • Maintains the church calendar of ministries, events, and of building usage.
  • Maintains records of membership.
  • Assists the Pastor with administrative functions.
  • Maintains church website and Facebook page.
  • Processes incoming mail & sends out Newsletter & other mailings as necessary.
  • Processes bills gets them ready for Treasurer
  • Coordinates volunteers to support the work of the office.
  • Uses the phone tree for announcements & prayer requests.
  • Makes flyers and postcards for events.
  • Weekly updating of the front sign.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications
  • 2-5 years Administrative Experience preferred.
  • HS diploma or GED preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft software to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher
  • Experience with confidential information
 Salary 17.50 an hour, with possible increase in six months after review
Hours 30 hours a week M-F 9 am to 3 pm flexible
PTO after 30 days
