None of us like to think about our own death but one of the best gifts you can give to your loved ones is to have in place plans for the end of your life. On Saturday, October 20th from 9:00 to 11:00 AM First United Methodist Church in Des Moines will present an End-of-Life workshop. Topics covered include the theology of a funeral/memorial service, logistics of service planning, living wills and other end-of-life legal issues. Speakers for the event are: Rev. Eric Guy, Pastor Christine Anders, Minister of Discipleship and Older Adult Advocate Scott Hartsook, former staff attorney for Iowa Legal Aid’s Older Adult Hotline RSVP requested.
