Preacher, teacher, and author Lillian Daniel will be the featured present at our Fall 2019 Order of Elders, Our focus will be about how to be spiritual leaders in the unknown and she will be helping to nurture us spiritually around worship and preaching. All clergy should attend this event.

Lillian Daniel is a preacher, teacher, writer, and speaker whose honesty and wit have taken her from the National Cathedral in Washington D.C. to the Festival of Homiletics in Denmark. Wherever she goes, Lillian brings a deep understanding of scripture and how it can be practically applied to everyday life.

Featured in the New York Times and on PBS, her words have been described as biting, hilarious, pitch-perfect, tender, and often stunningly beautiful.. In her most recent book, Tired of Apologizing for a Church I Don’t Belong to: Spirituality without Stereotypes, Religion without Ranting (FaithWords, 2017), Lillian urges open-minded Christians to explore ways to talk about their faith journeys that are reasonable, rigorous, and real. And her earlier offering, When Spiritual But Religious Is Not Enough: Seeing God in Surprising Places, Even the Church (Jericho, 2014), Daniel invites all of us to step out of ourselves, dare to become a community, and encounter a God greater than we could ever invent.
