About Reggie's Sleepout

Last year, funds raised during Reggie’s Sleepout helped:
• 97% of youth discharged from IHYC programs transition into safe and affordable housing.
• Provided over 3,285 nights of safe shelter for youth in our Emergency Bed Program.
• Over 15,000 meals served to homeless and at-risk youth in Central Iowa

Reggie’s Sleepout is not just a fundraiser, it will help teach your youth what it’s like to be homeless for a night. Teams can use their creativity and critical thinking skills in the Nationwide Boxed-in Design Contest. Food and snacks are provided for free during the night. There is no limit on the size of teams participating in Reggie’s Sleepout. However, please keep in mind that all campers under the age of 18 must have a supervising adult with them all night (one adult over the age of 21 to every six youth age 18 and under). And if camping is really not for you, just come to enjoy the festivities for the evening!

We hope you can help provide awareness of youth homelessness in your church. All of us at IHYC would appreciate your participation, but the 650 homeless youth we serve annually will appreciate it the most!
