In November of 1949, the first church bazaar was held at Centennial UMC at Ivy (the little white church on the hill). Chili and oyster stew was on the menu and the tradition continues. Chili, oyster stew, and desserts (especially pie) complete the “all you can eat” meal for a free will offering. The bazaar tables are worth a visit! Baked goods, handmade gifts, gift baskets, church cookbooks, and more will be for sale. There will also be a silent auction. The proceeds from the event will benefit UMW’s mission projects.
