Season of Creation: A series of events in honor of Earth

The Season of Creation is an international movement which begins on September 1, the Day of Prayer for Creation, and ends on October 4th, the feast day of St. Francis, the patron saint of ecology in many traditions.  All are invited to attend the 2018 series of free presentations on this year's theme: Walking Together Through our Sacred Creation.

Matt Russell is the speaker for this presentation.  Matt Russell is the Executive Director of Iowa Interfaith Power & Light. He is a fifth generation Iowa farmer and an outspoken advocate for finding solutions to climate change.  In his role at Iowa IPL, he combines an early career in ministry with am ore recent career in sustainable agriculture.

This is the third year faith communities across the Des Moines Metro Area have participated in the Season of Creation, sponsored by the Interfaith Green Coalition and Interfaith Power & Light.
