As announced at the 2022 Iowa Annual Conference session in June, the Bishop, in consultation with the Sessions Committee, called a Special Iowa Annual Conference Session for November 18, 2023, for the sole purpose of disaffiliation. In part, this Session is to give local churches sufficient time and accurate information as they discern their future in the UMC.
