The 2017 Order of Elders, Order of Deacons, Fellowship of Local Pastors and Associate Members Retreat will be held Tuesday, October 3rd at 10 a.m. - Wednesday, October 4th at 3 p.m.at Collegiate United Methodist Church/Wesley Foundation in Ames, IA.
Peacemaking Circles offer a different way of dealing with and responding to the challenges we all face in our churches. Utilization of the Circle process will enable participants to generate options and solutions that are oftentimes outside the box of conventional thinking!
Fred Van Liew is an attorney, mediator and justice consultant. He is a facilitator and Peacemaking Circle trainer with the Des Moines Pastoral Counseling Center and the Restorative Practices Coordinator for the Center for Restorative Justice in Portland, Maine. Fred is engaged in private practice in Des Moines with Van Liew Mediation and Consulting.
