These images were used in the Opening Worship Service on June 2, 2023. “Remembering Who We Are: As the Image of God.” Genesis 1:24-27.
The sunray with hills is based on the sun, hills, and hand image. The hand image in the piece is more ethereal. More other-worldly to represent God. This way God is able to represent diversity. Theme: As the Image of God.
The pitcher with the rainbow. To express our Baptism. During the offertory and presentation of Water that was used during the service. The water baptizes us we become our own person. The rainbow represents this. The color for this service was blue & white. I decorated the Alter and background in those colors.
This image was used in the second service the Service of Remembering June 3, 2023. “Remembering Who We Are: As God’s Healed and Redeemed” Psalm 30 and Luke 13:10-13 The gold and pink labyrinth. This image is based on the labyrinth at Chartres Cathedrals. A labyrinth is a representation of our walk with God. Our healing and redemption come about through our relationship and growing closer to God. The color for this service was Gold and White. I decorated the Alter and background in those colors. Theme: As God’s Healed and Redeemed.
This image was used in the third service. The Retirement and Ordering Service June 4, 2023. “Remembering Who We are: As God’s Called and Sent.” Matthew 28:16-20 The image is a Mountain of people with various roads. The Mountain of people was to represent those disciples on the mountain going to serve. Now it represented the pastors going to serve various locations in each conference. The roads are the paths of how we travel now. The color for this service was red and white. I decorated the Alter and background in those colors. Theme: As God’s called and Sent.

Theme: “As the Image of God” 2) The pitcher with the rainbow on the bottom is from the first service as well. To represent our baptism. Theme: “As the image of God” 3) The gold labyrinth at the top is from the second worship service. This image is based on the Chartres Cathedrals Labyrinth. Theme: “Healed and Redeemed” 4) The image on the right side is a Mountain of people with various roads from the 3rd worship service. Theme: As God’s called and Sent. This image was intended to be the background image.
