Peter Steinke is an internationally respected congregational systems consultant who has also served as a parish pastor, an educator, and a therapist for clergy. He has served as a pastor, developer, and consultant at churches in Virginia, Texas and Illinois, and has taught classes at The Lutheran Seminary of Philadelphia, The Lutheran Seminary of the Southwest, Denver Seminary, and Austin Theological Seminary.

Dr. Steinke developed and was the Director of the Bridgebuilder ministry, a structured process for intervention with conflicted churches, and also served as Director for Healthy Congregations, a training program for church leaders. In these roles he has worked with and trained more than 200 congregations and 1,800 leaders in 26 states from 24 denominations. He continues to serve as a speaker at clergy and church related conferences to the present with the goal of helping congregations and their leaders understand their hidden workings and use that understanding to become healthy and vital.
