Dr. Steven E. Titus was inaugurated as the 29th president of Iowa Wesleyan College on April 4.
The ceremony took place in the Iowa Wesleyan College Chapel Auditorium, Mount Pleasant. A reception followed in the Howe Student Activity Center on campus.
Bishop Julius Trimble was in attendance, participated in the ceremony and spoke at the inauguration.
Dr. Titus was named President of Iowa Wesleyan College by the Board of Trustees in May of 2013. He assumed office on July 1, 2013.
His inaugural address focused on the strategic future of Iowa Wesleyan College and launch of the Commission on the Future of Wesleyan. The College reports that the new planning Commission will be a collaborative, inclusive, regional effort that will shape the future of the College to better serve Southeast Iowa and beyond.
“This is a new era for Wesleyan.” Titus said, “The College belongs to Southeast Iowa so it is important that the communities we serve are invited to the launch of the Commission on the Future of Wesleyan and to participate in the future planning for the College.”
