GO ON Tour, a worship concert featuring Christian hip-hop artist Tedashii and speakers from next year's national United Methodist youth event YOUTH 2015, will visit each of the church's U.S. jurisdictions this fall.
The 10-city tour, which begins Sept. 13 at Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, will afford youth an opportunity to experience event-style worship, hear a national level performer and featured speaker and be among the first groups able to register for YOUTH 2015, an event for youth and youth leaders sponsored by Young People's Ministries, a division of the General Board of Discipleship.
"The idea behind the GO ON Tour is to bring a one-night preview of the worship and concert experience of YOUTH 2015 to major United Methodist areas all over the nation," said Blake Thornell, event manager for Young People's Ministries. "With top United Methodist speakers and a cutting-edge artist like Tedashii at each location, this tour is truly going to be an experience that no United Methodist youth or youth leader will want to miss."
Tedashii, a multi-talented artist whose fourth album, Below Paradise, is being released this spring, will headline each of the GO ON Tour concerts this fall.
Every stop will be a high impact, energetic and low-cost experience to build momentum for YOUTH 2015, the quadrennial national gathering of United Methodist youth and leaders, scheduled for June 24-28, 2015, at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Orlando.
Concert tickets are $15 in advance and are available, along with more information about YOUTH 2015, at www.YOUTH2015.com.
