Bishop Julius C. Trimble has announced the appointment of Reverend Rebecca A. Fisher to the position of Leadership Development Minister for Evangelism and New Ministry Development.
Rev. Fisher is an ordained elder in the Indiana Annual Conference, where she is currently serving the Fairview United Methodist Church of Bloomington, Indiana. She also has served congregations in Fort Wayne, Wabash, Winona Lake and Gary, Indiana. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Columbia International University of Columbia, SC; a Master of Divinity degree from Anderson University, Anderson, SC; and a Master of Business Administration degree from Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion, IN. Rev. Fisher was ordained in the American Baptist Church in 2004 and ordained in the Indiana Conference in 2010.
Rev. Fisher brings to this position gifts and experience in visioning, strategic planning, new ministry development, team/partnership building, marketing, conflict intervention, leadership development, and cross-cultural and ecumenical work.

Rev. Fisher will begin her employment with the conference on October 1, 2014.
