As a gift to our pastors and churches during the Christmas season, we are creating a Blue Christmas Worship Service for use in your online church messages, to share with members, or on your social media channels.
We know that not everyone is experiencing joy and excitement during the Christmas season. Dealing with the isolation of a global pandemic, job losses, COVID-19 infections, deaths of loved ones, divorces, the political and religious divisions all contribute to feelings of pain and sadness. We are creating a service that will help you set aside a time of sacred space for those who feel blue and seek hope and comfort during the Christmas Season.
The Blue Christmas Worship Service will be a video message, framed by two songs and instrumentation. A bulletin, transcript, and audio will also be available. We intend to email this to all pastors by December 17 for use on the longest night of the year, December 21, or any time during the Christmas season.
