AC2016 Teaching Sessions

More than 400 people attended Teaching Sessions offered at the 2016 Annual Conference Session. Six sessions were presented Sunday evening, covering various aspects of ministry and church finances.

The sessions included:
Social Media and Web Ministry: “Communicating Faith in the 21st Century”
Focused on going beyond simply having a church website to effectively implementing a broader online presence.
Change a Child’s Story
Women at the Well: “And Who is My Neighbor”
Breaking down walls with Women at the Well
Examined what leads some people to prison, and ways to make a difference by reaching out to make connections. Looked as well reentry team ministry offering support and encouragement to women and men returning from prison.
Healthy Church Initiative
Spiritual Leadership.: Lay and Clergy Ministry Partnership
Developing a greater partnership between the pastor and laity in ministry.
Tips and Techniques for Increasing Financial Stewardship in your Congregation
Keeping the “fun” in fundraising is 90% common sense and 10% counter-intuitive. Looked at how to avoid common traps, shared a list of recommended resources and learned the foundations of successful financial stewardship.
