Community Education & Support Groups:
If you or someone you know is struggling to find answers to questions they may have about Alzheimer's, dementia, or caregiving, please register for one of our upcoming free Community Education programs or Support Groups. You can find a full list of our upcoming programs on the attached flyers or by visiting our
Programs Event Calendar.
It may not be evident which of your members are affected by Alzheimer's or dementia (maybe they're a caregiver, maybe they've lost a loved one, or maybe they have a close friend going through it right now), but you won't have to look too far for a connection.
If your organization would be interested in setting up a free online education program for your members this spring, please reach out to our Program Director Brianne Fitzgerald at bkfitzgerald@alz.org. The program could be done over the lunch hour or during a meeting, and there is no cost to set it up. We have adaptable programs to suit your needs focusing on everything from a broad introduction to Alzheimer's to general ways to keep our brains healthy as we age and more. Program length can be as little as 30 minutes, or we have programs designed to fill an hour. Visit alz.org/iowa for more information.
