February's Annual Conference 2022 Town Hall focused on Alignment

Three virtual Pre-2022 Annual Conference Town Halls meetings are being held in early 2022 to update everyone on how the Iowa Annual Conference continues to align with our Strategic Priorities. Leaders will give reports, and a time for Q&A will be available at the end.  


Priority 2: Directing Our Resources to Our Common Goals (Alignment) 

The Saturday, February 12, 2022, Town Hall meeting was from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. on Zoom. The topic of the meeting was centered around Alignment.

Maggie Biggs, Treasurer and Director of Administrative Services, and Norlan Hinke, President of the Council on Finance and Administration, presented an update on the financial health of the Iowa Annual Conference. 

Rev. David Peterson, Chairperson of the Board of Pensions reported on the Iowa Conference staffing, benefits, and investments and Elizabeth Bell from the Board of Trustees, reported an update on the bankruptcy of the Boy Scouts of America.


 


The Saturday, March 19, 2022, Town Hall meeting will be from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. on Zoom. The topic of this meeting will center around Deployment.

Rev. Dr. Jaye Johnson, Director of Congregational Excellence, and the Appointive Cabinet will report on the development of and ongoing work of Circuit Ministries.
