With the delay of General Conference, any new members of the Council on Finance and Administration (CFA) need to be appointed by the Bishop for an interim period. The Council is seeking interested persons who might be willing to serve for these two years with the possibility of being elected to a full four-year term in 2024. If you are one who could offer your skills and talents to this important conference agency, please submit a Leadership Pool form indicating your willingness to serve. You may find the form at

CFA Membership:
- Minimum of 15 members and no more than 21
- 1 more layperson than clergy
- At least 1 youth or young adult
- At least 3 female members
- At least 1 member of ethnicity
- 1 member from each district
- 1 clergy and 1 laity be from churches under 200 members
- Note: CF&A members should not be elective members of any other agency or any other agency receiving financial support from the conference
Agency Function:
- Reviews, evaluates, and coordinates all budget proposals from agencies and offices
- Recommend to the annual conference for its action and determination of budgets of anticipated income and proposed expenditures. (¶614.)
Expertise:
- People who desire to analyze and align financial resources with the overall missional purpose and direction of the Iowa Annual Conference
Schedule:
- 4 to 5 times a year on a Thursday
- 1 lunch meeting during the Iowa UMC Annual Conference Session (usually in early June)
