Ezekiel Team begins work to move conference forward

The Iowa Conference Ezekiel Team has begun meeting. This team intends to walk through 2021, together. They are charged with strategizing what a way forward can look like up to and after General Conference 2020 meets in the late summer of 2021.
 
The team has been given three priorities in its charge from Bishop Laurie Haller. The three priorities are: 
  1. To get through the pandemic together 
  2. To move toward General Conference together
  3. To respond to General Conference together
The team consists of laity and clergy from throughout The Iowa Annual Conference who come from many different perspectives. The lay members of the team include Jeff Anderson, Lynn Calvert, Windy DiSalvo, Bryan Johnson, Norma Morrison, Ann Trimble-Ray, John Rothlisberger and Jacob Yochum. The clergy members of the team include Rev. LaTonya Calderon, Rev. Cris Decious, Rev. Vickie Fisher, Rev. Lilian Gallo-Seagren, Rev. Brian Oliver, Rev. James Parks, Rev. Edgar Solis Romero and Rev. Stephanie Schlimm. The team has Angela Hansen-Abbas and Rev. Chad Jennings as consultants and Rev. Doug Cue, Rev. Lanette Plambeck, Rev. Paul Wilcox as Cabinet liaisons and the group is convened by Rev. Ron Carlson.

The team is seeking more members with diverse theological, racial, and ethnic backgrounds. To submit your name, please reach out to Rev. Ron Carlson.
 
The Ezekiel Team plans to meet weekly through early summer and will be sending reports to the conference as its work progresses. Initial meetings have concentrated on relationship building and a relationship covenant.
