Iowa United Methodist Board of Laity invites all laity (not just AC members) to the Iowa Annual Conference 2021 Laity Session Livestream on Friday, June 4 at 7:00 p.m. (Music begins at 6:45.)
 
You will hear an inspiring message from Bishop Laurie Haller. A Conference Update will be followed by a live Q&A session with Rev. Dr. Lanette Plambeck, incoming Assistant to the Bishop. A segment titled “Changing the Lives of Laity” will show examples of how the School for Lay Ministry, Lay Servant Ministry, Walk to Emmaus, and other opportunities can change both the lives of laypeople and the ministry of their churches.
 
Board of Laity members will illuminate the conference theme “Watching Over One Another in Love” as they tell about some ways they have seen or experienced Christ’s love expressed. The closing worship includes a message (“Together we are the Change!”) from Michael Pope, Lay Leader of the Cal-Nevada Conference, and music by diverse youth (“Hold On”).
