Licensing School, as previously offered and planned for this year, is cancelled, with a new alternative already in place.
Licensing School will be offered in an entirely new format, thanks to COVID-19. We will send out frequent updates to students enrolled, their mentors and district support, as the format and timeline are still in development at Emory University/Candler School of Theology.
We will be using the online school that Emory/Candler is rapidly pulling together. Registration information will be available at
www.iaumc.org/iowalicensingschool very soon. The cost per student is expected to remain the same, to be paid fully to the Iowa Annual Conference. The Conference will then remit the cost to Emory.
Students will have much of May to complete the online portion of the work with Emory. Shortly after, we hope the health safety parameters will allow a two-day residential retreat here in Iowa to complete Licensing School.
