Practice Voting Zoom Webinar

We will be hosting an additional Vvoting Practice Zoom Webinar on Wednesday, July 15 at 6:30 p.m.

Your Zoom Webinar email and Vvoter credentials email will be the same for this webinar as those that were emailed to you for the June 27 Pre-Conference Zoom Webinar and the July 18 Legislative Session.

1. To attend, you will need to register in advance.
2. After you register and are approved, you will receive an email from "AC Support <no-reply@zoom.us>" with a link and password to the Zoom Webinar
3. The information for the Town Hall meetings will be the same information you will use for the Legislative Session on Saturday, July 18. (Check your JUNK mail just in case you have trouble finding it.)
4. Clergy and elected lay members who are eligible to vote have been emailed voting credentials from "roland.minshall2@iaumc.org" titled “2020 Annual Conference Town Halls and Legislative Session Voting Information”. This email will include a link and Unique ID to the VVoter Portal. 
5. This will be the same information you will use for the Legislative Session on Saturday, July 18th. 
6. Please locate both the Zoom and VVoter emails before the beginning of the webinars.

The 2020 Iowa Annual Conference Legislative Session

• Saturday, July 18 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Remember, the credentials you received for the Town Halls will be used for the Iowa Annual Conference Legislative Session. Do not share these email invitations with anyone else. These are personalized to each member so that voting is secure.

2020 Iowa Annual Conference Ordering of Ministry Services

• Saturday, July 11 at 2 p.m., First United Methodist Church, 718 Clay Street, Cedar Falls
• Saturday, July 25 at 2 p.m., Broadway United Methodist Church, 11 South 1st Street, Council Bluffs

Anticipating the continuation of some social distancing precautions, two Ordering of Ministry services are being planned with those who will be ordained, commissioned, and recognized as Course of Study graduates. Attendance will be limited to them, their families, and Conference leadership presiding and supporting the services. Both services will be livestreamed to the conference, with information on how to connect being released at a later date. 

AC2020 Laity Session

All Iowa United Methodist Laity are invited to attend the Iowa Annual Conference 2020 Laity Session Webinar on Sunday, August 2 at 2:00 p.m.
 
The Annual Conference Laity Session is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other United Methodists as we gather through a Zoom Webinar. During the Laity Session, you will hear a message of hope from Bishop Laurie Haller and interact with a panel of Mental Health professionals. They will address how we can better cope with multiple challenges currently facing individuals, families, and congregations. There will be time for Q&A.

We will also recognize new School for Lay Ministry graduates and Certified Lay Ministers, meet the Board of Laity, hear uplifting music from the high school gospel choir, Bridges 2 Harmony, and experience so much more! The link is below.
