In 2020, Okoboji and Wesley Woods United Methodist Camps suspended on-site programs due to the COVID-19 pandemic; however, this upcoming summer, plans are in place to have youth on-site so they can learn about Jesus Christ and make new friends.
“Sharing Christ with young people at camp is what we do best. We are thrilled to welcome back youth and adults to camp,” said Bryan Johnson, Director of Camps and Retreats.
The Iowa Camps Team consulted with the American Camp Association and the Center for Disease Control to prepare for the upcoming summer. The goal is to have camp programs operate as normally as possible, knowing that restrictions will continue to be in place.
A FAQ document and infographic are on each camp’s website and the Conference Camp Page.
Registrations continue to pour in as youth are excited to come back to camp to see their friends. As a result of the generosity of so many during the Iowa Camps Annual Campaign, no child will be turned away from a camp event due to lack of funds.
