Iowa's newest District Superintendent discerns his first appointment

February 24, 2023

The Iowa Conference's newest district superintendent, Rev. Dr. Michel Lundula of the Camp Clear Lake district, discerned his first appointment earlier this month, saying that he feels blessed about being a part of the cabinet.

"Making appointments is a process that requires prayers and discernment, and I've been in that process today. I've been blessed as a district superintendent to make my very first official appointment. That came after a prayerful moment, after a moment of discerning and praying with the other district superintendent and the bishop," said Rev. Lundula. "I'm very hopeful about this new beginning and all the following appointments. The Lord will be in control of us, all these pastors, and the new churches where they will be serving. Please pray with me knowing God is good and in control."
