The Offices of Clergy and Congregational Excellence hosted Jason Moore's two-day workshop, "Worship in the Post Pandemic World." About 80-100 individuals and church groups joined during the two-day event.
"I am thankful for the workshops with Jason Moore, who brought his insight, engagement, and experience as a seasoned professional with worship, hospitality, and online ministry," said Rev. Ryan Christenson, Associate Director for Congregational Excellence. "His four workshops over two days helped us appreciate the leaps so many churches made during the pandemic while offering encouragement and ideas about next steps any church can take. The workshop can speak to pastors and lay people in larger churches and smaller communities. I also think the workshops can be an excellent resource for circuits who see the need to navigate the reality of online and in-person ministry.”
One of the sessions, Creative Worship, focused on meaningful, collaborative worship that lasts beyond Sunday.
"This was one of the best continuing education courses I have taken," said Pastor Alex Bruening. "Not only did I learn so much, but Jason Moore kept me engaged the whole time, offered ways to improve online ministry, and gave me great ideas on how to do creative worship. I especially loved the idea that we already do creative worship—the children's message. Adults love this time, they desire this creativity."
