Mabaan Flood funds come in

Mabaan Flood funds come in

November 04, 2020

We want to thank you for the over $1,000 that has been raised for the Mabaan Flood Relief during October. Individuals, churches, and foundations have donated monetary gifts to help address humanitarian needs related to the 2019 Indian Ocean Dipole floods in northern South Sudan.

This fundraising will continue through November 30, 2020, with a goal of $25,000.

Word has just come from the Mabaan County residents that for a second year flooding has taken place in the same area of South Sudan albeit not as severe as in 2019. Iowans know flooding which has been addressed with work teams and funds from the Iowa Disaster Ministries. We are known as Iowa “nice” as we come to the aid of those affected by natural disasters that require assistance.

You are welcome to continue being Iowa “nice” as you consider a financial donation prior to November 30. A check may be sent to the Conference Treasurer, 2301 Rittenhouse St., Des Moines 50321. On the Memo line note: 53321 MF. You can also donate online by clicking here.
