MUMM available to assist with Vacation Bible School in a Southeast, South Central or Southwest district

February 18, 2020

You might think, “We don’t have kids at our church!” They are there and they need you. Even if only two or three kids, they still need you and their parents might, too.

Brian Dembowczyk writes in Gospel Centered Kids Ministry, "Theologically, functionally, and missionally, kids are an essential part of the church today. Right now." Are they a part of your church? Vacation Bible School (VBS) is one way to reach out to serve kids.

Let Mobile United Methodist Missionaries (MUMM) know if you’d like help to hold Vacation Bible School in a Southeast, South Central or Southwest district community. MUMM has openings on their calendar. Contact Cherie Miner at (712) 370-5068 or e-mail her at cminer5068@gmail.com if you’d be interested in giving VBS a try.

MUMM will work with you to develop the schedule and program that works best for your church. They bring the curriculum, all the materials and lead the teaching. You supply volunteers, food and lots of love and prayers. If you are willing to open your hearts to the kids, amazing things will happen.

If you’re looking for VBS ideas, attend a MUMM VBS Fair. They will share their plans for Cokesbury’s 2020 Knights of North Castle curriculum, as well as their inventory of previous curricula available to borrow. Join them at the following locations and dates:
  • 2:30-4 p.m., Sun., March 1 at Creston First UMC
  • 2:30-4 p.m., Sun., March 15 at Mount Pleasant First UMC
If you want to know more about Mobile United Methodist Missionaries, just ask, they are always happy to share the MUMM story and let you know how you can become part of this home-grown Iowa ministry.
