As your church prepares for summer, remember that Mobile United Methodist Missionaries (MUMM) is here to help. Although Coronavirus canceled our plans last year, we’d like to forge ahead this summer, albeit with some changes.
Feel free to share it during worship or at other meetings and events.
Let us know if you’re part of a congregation in Southeast, South Central, and Southwest Iowa that needs help to hold Vacation Bible School (VBS). This year, due to Coronavirus, we recommend churches plan for outdoor events. With planning and adaptation, we can still reach out to kids and families with the tried-and-true fun of VBS.
Other ways MUMM can help
If you’re from a small church with the heart and people for VBS, but you need materials, let us know. MUMM has an inventory of previous VBS curricula, many with puppets and music. More recent curricula may include DVDs, worksheets, and related crafts. We can send an inventory list, and if we have something you can use, we’ll arrange to get it to you. And remember, VBS materials also make great Sunday School lessons.

As a local Iowa ministry, MUMM has been supported by grants funded by apportionments, district askings, and donations. So, like other ministries, we’re tightening our belts. If you’re part of a congregation looking to support local ministries, consider a MUMM donation via Advance Special #311. You could also donate supplies or time helping with a VBS.
