NCJ Mission Council adopts new grant process

NCJ Mission Council adopts new grant process

August 14, 2020

A new streamlined process for obtaining grants from the Mission Council has been adopted.

Two classes of applications will be created.

  • Class One will be ongoing projects that can be funded over the next quadrennium. These groups will only need to submit a single application that explains the mission and needs for the next four year period.
    • An agency in this group needs to complete the initial application, click here
    • This application will be due September 15, 2020. If you are granted the four-year budget, you will be required to submit a progress report yearly in order for the following years grant money to be available for your use. To complete the Progress Report, click here
These reports must be completed by July 1 each year.
  • Class Two applications will be for one time projects. The application can be found here.
    • Funds for Class Two applications will be distributed pending arrangements between the agency and the NCJ Treasurer, Lonnie Chafin.

Grant Time Line

  • October 8, 2020, Mission Council meets; approval of applications will be made and agencies will be notified.
