The Office of the Iowa Secretary of State, Paul D. Pate, has made the following information available to different church denominations across Iowa.
Safe at Home is an address confidentiality program for survivors of domestic violence and other violent crimes. It provides a designated address, mail forwarding and confidential absentee voting for participants. The program allows the participants to live an active life without having their actual address listed on public records. All Safe at Home participants are assigned a Des Moines address, regardless of where they actually live.
They have brochures, posters, and business card size program cards available to display in your churches or offices. They are also available for Safe at Home presentations, webinars, or to provide an article for a newsletter if this would be helpful.
