In May, members of Marion Street United Methodist Church in Boone accepted a challenge from their pastor Angie Cunigan to collect 100 boxes of cereal to donate. The challenge came from her sermon on John 21:1-14 when Jesus prepared breakfast on the shore following his Resurrection. Not only was that goal reached but it exceeded expectations. A total of 285 boxes of cereal were placed around the sanctuary just like dominos. It was exciting to watch the boxes tumble over one by one and reach the foot of the alter. Praise God!
