Mrs. Lillian Cotton, spouse of Rev. William D. Cotton, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2009.
Services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 16 at Grace United Methodist Church, 3700 Cottage Grove, Des Moines, IA Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Grace UMC.
Rev. Cotton served Colesburg-Zion-Immanuel; Cedar Rapids, Asbury; as Executive Secretary, Human Rights Commission, Cedar Rapids; Dayton-Harcourt; Emmetsburg; as Superintendent, Creston District and Des Moines, Grace. He retired in 1999.
Survivors include Rev. Cotton, Des Moines, IA; son Steve of Wassau, WI; daughters: Melody Burns of Bundurant, IA and Leslie Baxter of Papillion, NE.
