Rev. John Knipe Moore passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2009.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 3 at First United Methodist Church, 200 W High Street, Lexington, KY. A fellowship time with the family will follow the service.
Rev. Moore served Cedar Rapids, St. Paul’s (Assoc.); Eldora; Cedar Rapids, John Huss; Cedar Rapids, Asbury; Iowa City, St. Mark’s; as Sioux City District Superintendent and at Ames, First. He retired in 1986.
Survivors include his wife Betty, Lexington, KY; daughter Martha of Hanover, IL and sons: Bob of Lake Elsinore, CA and John of Lexington, KY.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be sent to UMCOR.
