Rev. Nancy L. (Shepherd) Allen, spouse of Rev. Art L. Allen, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2011.
Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 pm on Thursday, June 2 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 3600 75th Street, Urbandale, IA. Family will greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Wednesday, June 1 at the Johnson Family Funeral Home, 123 NE 2nd Street, Stuart, IA.
Rev. Allen served Wayland Circuit: Cottonwood-Wayland-Finley Chapel-Trenton; New Life Parish; Ventura-Clear Lake Camp Program Director; Director of Church-College Relations, Simpson College; as Ottumwa District Superintendent; Program Consultant, Conference Council on Ministries; Urbandale, Aldersgate; Co-Camp and Retreat Center Director, Wesley Woods and Sioux City, Grace.
Survivors include her husband, Rev. Art L. Allen, Stuart, IA and sons: Benjamin Carter-Allen of Stuart, IA and Nathan Allen of Tucson, AR.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Nancy Allen Memorial Scholarship Fund at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary.
