Rev. L. Dean Surface passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2012.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, October 23, at the Tabor United Methodist Church, 516 Orange Street, Tabor, IA. (All clergy attending are asked to robe and wear a white stole.) Visitation will be, Monday, October 22 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Crawford-Marshall Funeral Chapel, 602 Orange Street, Tabor.
Rev. Surface served Faith Parish: Farragut-Locust Grove-Riverton-Summit (Associate) and Fontanelle-Highland. He retired in 1994.
Survivors include his children, Nancy Ewalt of Sidney, IA; Susan Fichter of Sidney, IA and Sherman Surface of West Des Moines, IA.
Memorials may be sent to the Tabor United Methodist Church, Tabor Rescue or Tabor Veteran’s Memorial.
