Rev. Robert L. Smith passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2013.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 28 at First United Methodist Church, 600 E Hammond Street, Red Oak. (All clergy attending are asked to robe and wear a white stole.) Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 27 at Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel, 410 Sixth Street, Red Oak.
Rev. Smith served Eddyville-Chillicothe-Columbia; Waterloo, Graves-Evansdale; Nashua-Republic; Lehigh-Otho-Lundgren and West Bend-Mallard before he retired in 1992.
Survivors include David of Omaha, NE; Gene of Arlington, NE; Paul (South Central District Field Outreach Minister) of Promise City, IA; Roy of Pulaski, WI and Marianne Heyne of Azores, Portugal.
Memorials may be sent to Joy Camp of Mobile United Methodist Missions for church camp scholarships.
