The Rev. Lloyd A. Latta passed away on Monday, December 9, 2013.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on what would have been Lloyd’s 100th birthday, May 22, 2014. The time and place will be announced closer to the date of the service.
The Rev. Latta served at Afton; Osceola, First; Red Oak; Washington; Newton District Superintendent; Fort Dodge, First; Mason City District Superintendent and Director of Friendship Haven. He retired in 1979.
Survivors include his wife Beulah of Mount Pleasant, IA; and his children – Marilyn Knight of Columbia, SC; Rosilyn Laliwala of Albany, NY; The Rev. Richard Latta and Robert Latta of Mount Pleasant, IA.
Memorials may be sent to the Methodist Church in Medellin, Columbia, c/o First United Methodist Church, Mount Pleasant or the mission program in any of the churches which Lloyd served.
