Mrs. Evelyn L. Nester, spouse of Rev. Dr. Tony R. Nester, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018.
A Service of Death and Resurrection will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 12, at the United Methodist Church, 602 5th Avenue SW, Altoona, IA. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 10:00 am.
Rev. Nester served in Iowa at Low Moor-McCausland; Muscatine, Wesley (Associate); Des Moines, Union Park; Council Bluffs, Salem; Sheldon; Waverly, Trinity and Sioux City, Grace. He retired in 2012.
Survivors include her husband, Rev. Nester of West Des Moines, IA and children, Charissa Konz, Keith Nester and Carolyn Petsche.
Contributions in Evelyn’s honor may be directed to UnityPoint Hospice.
