Pastor Joel P. Sutton passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021.
Services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, May 29, at the United Methodist Church, 116 Center Street, Manning, IA. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday, May 28, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and one hour prior to the service. The family shares that clergy need not robe; however, they would be delighted if stoles and scapulars are worn. Masks will be required for the times of congregational singing.
Pastor Sutton served at Macksburg-Hebron-Lorimor (Associate); Afton-Arispe-Lorimor and at Manning-Manilla, United Church of (UM-PCUSA).
He is survived by his wife, Sheila of Manning, IA; and children: Megan Sutton of Lorimor; Shea Sutton of Albia; Taylor McDonald of Johnston; Kate Sutton of Manning and Ian Sutton of Manning. Ohde Funeral Home’s website is https://www.ohdefuneralhome.com/obituary/586269/pastor-joel-sutton/.
